Love to Write Part 2

Now my passion for writing is back, I think The Rolling Twenties is due for a shake up.

In June 2019 a very talented fellow writer came into my life. This fellow writer is called Chris, and I mentioned him in my previous post.
I have to say he immediately impressed me. Chris came to Hull on the train, and he arranged to meet near the Philip Larkin statue. Philip Larkin was a novelist and English poet. In 1945 Larkin had his first book of poetry called The North Ship published. In 1946 and 1947 two novels were published, called Jill and A Girl in Winter. So for any writer Philip Larkin can be considered an inspiring novelist and poet. So Chris picking to meet near the Philip Larkin statue got him golden points!

After meeting at the Larkin statue we decided to go for a coffee, where we talked about our passion for writing. It came to light that Chris had some extraordinary ideas for a series of bedtime stories. He had already started writing the first book, and drawn a map of the world he was creating. I really hope that Chris finishes the first book!

It was amazing to hear him speak with such passion about throwing himself back into the world of writing. He just needed an opportunity. Listening to Chris talk about opportunity, really peaked my interest in him as a writer. What made me consider him for the role of a writer at The Rolling Twenties, was at university he did a course in Creative Writing. This to me was awe inspiring. Not only was he already doing a full time degree, but on the side he did a Creative Writing course! All I kept thinking whilst we had a cuppa was “Wow”, this guy has a talent for writing and he needs to use it.

Chris and I have worked together on various writing activities, and I even trust him with my free-lance articles. Chris comes up with amazing ideas for my articles, and to be able to write and come up with original ideas is a real gift. It’s time for Chris to write, so he will be joining me in the blogging world. I trust Chris with the blog, so he has free reign to write about what he wants. At The Rolling Twenties we like to cover all topics. I hope Chris covers the NFL and wrestling. We could do with some sporting posts! Watch out for Chris and his upcoming posts!

On a personal note Chris is an important part of my life, and he means the world to me. We have a strong connection over many things, especially writing. He has a depth to him which I know will come through in his writing. We have a strong relationship. I see Chris as a very kind and wonderful person. He is such a strong person who is there for me no matter what. He is also one of the most supportive people I have ever met. He supports me in all aspects of my life. You, the readers know about my health, well so does Chris. He lets nothing phase him, and he is just powers on. His intelligence, kindness and sense of humour are my favourite characteristics about him, and you will see his characteristics shine through in his writing.

I want Chris to write for the blog, because I have a lot of respect and love for him. I have read what Chris  can write, and he should not hide his talent any longer! I can’t wait for you the readers to also have chance to read the wonderful posts Chris creates.

Welcome Chris to The Rolling Twenties! πŸ’œ❤️πŸ’œ
